After much analysis, we have found that the campus voicemail system cannot be repaired. We are in the process of arranging a replacement as quickly as possible, but it will take a week or longer to bring a new voicemail system online.
In the meantime, you can use Google Voice as an alternative. It acts as a ‘voicemail service’ to collect messages left by callers that you can listen to by logging into your DePauw Google account online.
Set up a local phone number in your DePauw Google account. These are provided by Google and often (though not always) in the 765-276-xxxx range, which is a local Greencastle call.
Forward your office phone to “forward on non-answer or busy” to the phone number you just created.
Finalize your Google Voice settings *** THIS IS AN IMPORTANT STEP, so don’t skip it!
If you have questions:
Contact Dave Diedriech (765-658-6442 or ddiedriech@depauw.edu)
or
Visit the FITS Center located on the lower level of Roy O. West Library.
As an alternative in the interim, you can set up Google Voice in your DePauw Google account as an alternative to voicemail by creating a Google Voice number and forwarding your office phone to it.
For step-by-step instructions to set up Google Voice as your email:
If you have questions, contact Dave Diedriech (765-658-6442or ddiedriech@depauw.edu) or visit the FITS Center in the lower level of Roy O. West Library.
Due to last night’s power outage, campus voicemail is not working and may be offline for several hours. We are working on an alternative voicemail solution that will work in the interim and will provide information for everyone shortly.
If you have any questions, please contact the HelpDesk at 765-658-4294.
The Technology Resource Center (HelpDesk, Printing Services, ID OneCard desk, Laptop Support Services) will have limited office hours on Thursday, January 19th.
Our offices will be open from 1:30pm thru 5:00pm.
We will be closed during the morning and lunch time hours.
Starting on Thursday, November 10, e-Services will be located at a new web address at http://my.depauw.edu/e.
e-Services will be unavailable on the morning of November 10, from 6 AM to 8 AM, while the Administrative Information Systems team finishes this change.
Consequently, we ask that you please log out of e-Services prior to 6 AM on November 10.
If you have any questions or concerns about the change, please contact our new Director of Administrative Information Systems, Adam Hughes (adamhughes@depauw.edu).
We are making this change in preparation for the redesigned University website launch coming later in the semester, and the new address should not result in any noticeable changes in e-Services for the campus community (besides the address change, of course!).
We’ll send another reminder and further details closer to November 10, but in the meantime if you have any questions or concerns about the change, please contact our new Director of Administrative Information Systems, Adam Hughes (adamhughes@depauw.edu).
